Next week i am trying out for the school musical Into the Woods I am so nervous about my audition. For the song, i am singing The Wizard and I from Wicked... any advice to get rid of my nerves?

O.o break a leg!!!!! Haha, advice...well don't stress to much about it. The more you stress...the more you'll be nervous. Relax, take a deep breath and think about something else. And until the actual audition, I'd practice for no more then an hour a day. Then you should be ready for it...oh yah, and have some confidence

The biggest issue for me is that i know he drama teacher personally and she will be there at the audition. I have trouble singing in front of peope i know! ACK! i am so nervous.

I'm auditioning for A Midsummer Night's Dream at my school. Gosh, I'm nervous, too...I found out that I don't do too well when I'm auditioning for something...only when I'm actually ready for it. XD I auditioned for a talent show the other day, and I hope I did well enough to get in. Good luck with your audition, though! I suggests deep, healing breaths before you go on and audition. ^^
